When it comes to dealing with electrical emergencies, our engineers have seen it all and can be relied upon to efficiently restore safety with minimal disruption.
On arrival at your property, we’ll introduce ourselves and immediately get to work on diagnostic testing and fault finding. We can normally find the fault and secure safety within the first hour, the cost of which is covered by your callout charge. Once the property is secure we’ll explain what was causing your electrical problem and, if required, will detail any further electrical repair work.
What is an electrical emergency?
Electrical emergencies can include complete power failure, loss of lighting, tripping circuits, the electrical system failing to trip (often accompanied by a humming or buzzing sound coming from the consumer unit), overloaded outlets (which can leave burn marks around the outlet), damaged wiring or electrical malfunctions (often accompanied by burning smells) and leaks causing dangerous electrical situations, amongst many others.

Emergency electrical callout costs
We know that when it comes to being billed by a tradesperson, nobody likes surprises – which is why we operate a completely transparent pricing policy.
Our emergency callout fee is £75 which includes the first hour’s labour for two Ecolux Electrical engineers. Normally we can diagnose and secure the fault within the first hour. If follow-up work is required once safety has been restored we can continue at the regular rate of £60/hour in the same callout, or you can book us to return as a non-emergency at a later date.
